We were very happy when we first received these glasses. Love the shape, size, and weight.Unfortunately after only one week of use one of the glasses broke while hand washing it. We hand wash all our glassware with cold filtered water as our water is very hard and chemical laden. This glass has not been knocked against anything nor dropped so it was a shock.So disappointed that this happened.As the set was not expensive we’ll waIt and see how long the remainder of the set will last. Not sure how to advise others who wish to purchase a set as this may have been a single defective glass.

OK, I’m going to be critical on this but that’s what this is supposed to be right?First off, let me say that I’ve bought products from JoyJolt before. My first set of glasses which you can see one of them in the photos above (the green one) was more of a regular drinking glass. After reading the reviews I was a little reluctant to order but was quite satisfied when I received the product.As you notice there’s quite a difference in the color and how it emanates.The pink, or purple one if you like is my newest purchase, and I am somewhat dissatisfied. As you can see the color is manufactured in a different way which is why I put the photos right next to each other so you could tell the difference. Look at the way the color comes up the glass in the green glass. The whole thing gets illuminated. As opposed to the pink one where the color is a simple ring which appears to be applied to the outside of the glass like some of the reviews you may have read talk about. It has a much more cheap appearance to it and the color is nowhere near as vibrant as you can see from the photo. If you don’t care and just want to purchase a nice shaped glass, then the champagne glass is that indeed. Nice shape and not much of a lip at all on the rim of the glass. Not knife edge like a very fine glass, but not bad at all. They are quite a bit smaller than the normal drinking glass. I was a little surprised at how small the glass is. You can actually turn it upside down and fit it all the way into the drinking glass. Not a huge problem but something to be aware of if you were expecting a larger glass. For champagne, it would be perfect. For water and juice a bit on the small side.I also purchased a set of the martini glasses which you can see two pictures of. The color is rather muted on most of those, and as you can see from the upside down glass which appears to be totally clear, the color is obviously just a band around the bottom of the glass. It’s the same glass!And yes, I read some reviews where the company was saying that their color is not on the outside of the glass but rather embedded, and trust me, it depends on which glass you’re getting as I’ve already pointed out. But you can even feel a slight lip on the colored area of both the champagne glass and the martini glass (to a lesser extent).Up to this point I’ve been putting the drinking glasses in the dishwasher without any visible ill affect so far but I don’t think I would risk doing that if I plan on keeping the champagne glasses. I’m honestly leaning toward returning those because of the cheap looking color, so if that sort of thing is important to you, there you have it. Obviously Quality Control needs some help with joy joltThat’s My critical review. Hope this helps.

I really think they are very beautiful! Two of the glasses are rough around the top edges. The box was dented and I’m not sure if that is why.
