5 month review:This Stanley thermos replaced an insulated coffee carafe that also had an insulated lid and pour spout. At some point, even with careful use and maintenance, the carafe itself lost its vacuum seal and could no longer keep beverages hot (the coffee carafe would get almost as hot on the outside, as the coffee was on the inside. It would cool to room temperature within 2 hours. with the broken seal, the coffee carafe behaved like a heat sink cooling the coffee as quickly as possible).I have only ever used the Stanley thermos for hot coffee.PROS:+ Simple lid and opening make it very easy to clean+ easily portable+ when closed, no leaks of any kind regardless of thermos being on its side+ lid and latch seem fine. Maybe the version i got (Jan 2019) is a newer model. I have none of the wear as indicated from older reviews yet.CONS:- lack of a pour spout might take some getting used to. there can be some dribble if you’re new to pouring things. Some tips for having the hottest coffee for the longest:— Preparation of the Thermos:1) Fill with hot water (i just used tap at its hottest) and close lid for a few minutes.2) Brew your coffee while your thermos is priming.3) When coffee is done, empty hot water from thermos and fill with coffee & close the lid.* If you have a coffee brewer that doesn’t produce super hot coffee from the start, consider using your brewer’s hot-plate for a short duration to get it as hot as it will get before transferring to the insulated thermos.—Pouring:This is probably the biggest disadvantage to the insulated carafes, as you are just pouring out a big hole and heat is escaping, but since the thermos has yet to fail like my carafe did, i feel like sometimes Simple just works better.—12 HOUR HEAT RETENTION TESTThe thermos is most effective when completely full, so as you drink/empty it, heat retention is lessened and it will cool faster. I can safely say that when i made a full thermos to the top and forgot/left it behind, it was still pretty damn warm even 24 hours later. probably at the 6 or 7 hour mark in my chart below. However, typical use will have you sipping through out the day.My results, drinking about a cup per hour of fresh brewed coffee from a Bunn-O-Matic. (I did not have a thermostat to test with for absolute numbers, so you get the Ow! Ow! method of testing hotness)7am: Steaming hot. have to blow/sip8am: Steaming hot. have to blow/sip9am: Steaming hot. have to blow/sip10am: Steaming hot. have to blow/sip11am: Not steaming (maybe because it’s not cold anymore) but still really, really hot.12pm: Not steaming but still really hot.1pm: Not steaming but still really hot.2pm: Not steaming but still really hot.3pm: Hot but can drink immediately4pm: Hot but can drink immediately5pm: no longer hot but still quite warm.**6pm: no longer hot but still quite warm. **7pm: no longer hot but still quite warm. **at 10, 11 and 12 hours, even though it was warm, I did microwave for 30 seconds and it was back to steaming hot again.

Iβve been on the water bottle game for over a decade. This thing is just the best. I lost mine and for about a week my fiancΓ© noticed I was sad. One sunny afternoon the Amazon guy came to the doorβ¦. I was flooded with dopamine. She bought me a new one!! But also in the package was a airpod tracking device to put on my water bottleβ¦hmm. I guess now she can always know where my βwater bottleβ is.

I would buy this over a yeti any day! Left it on the back of my pickup for three day (highs of 80-90 degrees) on the night of third day I went and picked it up and there was still ice in it.

Ice cold frozen drinks all day at the beach. Need I say more? This kept frozen drinks frozen in 90 degree beach weather. Bought myself a second one to have extra for all the jealous friends at the beach blanket. Left some overnight once and they were still ice old and a little slushy in the morning

awesome cup.. I can clasp it, throw it in my work bag, it doesn’t leak or anything and my bag bounces around a crap ton. I’d buy it again and again.. really the only bad thing I can say is the one I got had some scratches on it which to was no biggie ..

Weβve had this growler for 4 years and own 3 of them. We fill them weekly, use them daily and our beer always tastes great. We also clean them monthly with denture tablets and theyβre as good as the day we got them. The perfect growler!
