I bought a couple of the scotch glasses just to have an alternative to my Glencairn glasses. Stupid me. First of all, they’re really just a clunkier version of the Glencairns. Second, and most important, I used one of the glasses precisely once before the bottom of the glass just fell off as I was walking up the stairs. I didn’t drop it. I didn’t hit it against anything. It just fell apart and made a huge mess, leaving me to wipe up a couple ounces of 18-year old Highland Park from the floor instead of actually drinking it. This was one of the worst purchases I’ve ever made. DO NOT BUY!

I am a bit of a whisky glass snob but I hate the traditional glencairn tulip design for sipping bourbon. I’ve purchased 6 different styles of glasses for enjoying bourbon before settling on these as a recommendation by Matt Porter from ADHD Whiskey on YouTube. I couldn’t be happier with these glasses! I have put all my other nosing and sipping glasses to the back of the cabinet and have used these exclusively since getting them for the past few weeks. Definitely going to buy a back-up set soon!

For the price of these glasses, I would expect them to be perfect. The quality control checks must be fairly lax or maybe they send out the 2nds to Amazon customers? There are small imperfections (air bubble) on the inside and a few scratches and or nicks on the outside. They do have a nice weight and they nose well for bourbons and scotches.
